  • Can I pay by check?
    Yes. To pay by check, please email TRSSW1@gmail.com and request information for paying by check. Please note: to received early bird rate, mail must be post-marked by October 20, 2023.
  • What is the current masking policy for TRSSW 2023?
    Scottish Rite for Children does not require masks at this time. However, that policy may change at any time. Please check back for updates.
  • What is TRSSW's cancellation and refund policies?
    Full payment of the TRSSW fee is due by October 29, 2023, if fees are not remitted by October 29, the associated registration may be canceled. The Therapeutic Recreation Symposium for the Southwest (TRSSW) is designed to promote high quality learning experiences at reasonable costs. While schedules change and emergencies, unfortunately occur, when reservations are canceled, particularly close to the event date, financial resources are expended, and costs are impossible to recoup. Therefore, refunds for canceling participation in the TRSSW symposium will be provided in accordance with these policies. Cancellations must be received by email to TRSSW1@gmail.com. If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to send a substitute, by sending a substitute no cancellation fees will be assessed. Please notify us of the name change at TRSSW1@gmail.com. Symposium fees for emailed cancellations received on or before October 10, 2023, will receive a refund minus a 50% cancellation fee. The Symposium fee may be applied toward the following year’s Symposium if the 50% is not requested. Symposium fees for emailed cancellations received after October 10, 2023, will not be refunded, but can be applied toward a future TRSSW symposium within one year.
  • Where can I park while attending TRSSW 2023?
    See the map below for parking while attending TRSSW 2023 at Scottish Rite for Children. Please park in the Blue lot listed as Visitor parking
  • What does it mean that I will be asked to volunteer as a part of my student registration?
    As a part of a student ticket/registration, students are asked to volunteer in a variety of important roles including but not limited to: registration, logistics, vendor assistance, break time snack assistance, room monitoring, and support to session speakers. Some of these roles may include introducing the speaker. These volunteer roles are crucial for a successful symposium and are a great opportunity to network, grow professionally, and learn about symposium programming. Students are encouraged to register by the early-bird deadline: October 20, 2023. Students: please watch for an email with important information along with a link for Sign-up Genius.   • How do I get my speaker discount and register?
    As a speaker, you will earn a $50 discount for each 1.5 hours of session presentation. If there are multiple speakers, the discount will be divided. TRSSW will send a discount code to each speaker with a link for registration. Speakers are asked to register by the early-bird deadline: October 20, 2023.
  • How and when will I receive my earned CEUs?
    Your earned CEUs will be sent via email within 21 days after the symposium ends. To ensure you receive your email with your CEUs, please be sure your email is correct when registering for the symposium.
  • Documentation of Continuing Education
    Please submit your continuing education form for official signature at the registration desk prior to leaving the 2023 TRSSW symposium. Once you have had your form signed, you will be given a copy of it. Official continuing education certificates will be emailed to you within 21 days after the symposium.
  • Dietary Disclaimer
    TCP Catering and TRSSW will provide general information regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions to the best of their knowledge. The responses are general information and not intended to assesses TRSSW participants’ dietary conditions nor is it intended to be a recommendation about which menu items should or should not be eaten. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to determine which menu items he or she should consume. TCP and TRSSW are not responsible for which menu items TRSSW participants voluntarily put on their plates. In making their selections from the buffet line, TRSSW participants are expected to use their own good judgment based on their experience with their specific dietary conditions. We are in no way making any attempt to assess a participant dietary condition, especially regarding the severity of an allergy or intolerance. Thank you!
